Join us at Lola Love Letter Creative Studio for an exciting Zine Workshop led by local zine artist, Kali Kambouroglos, creator of Mythical Type! Whether you're new to zines or an experienced creator, this workshop is designed to inspire and equip you with the skills to make your own unique zine.

What is a zine?

Zines, from the word "magazine," are self-published, small-circulation booklets that often showcase original artwork, writing, and ideas. They are a powerful medium for personal expression and creativity, allowing creators to share their unique perspectives with a wider audience. Zines gained popularity in the '90s during the grunge era as a way for people to quickly and cheaply review bands and share underground music scenes.

During this 1.5-hour workshop, Kali will guide you through the process of zine-making, from brainstorming ideas to assembling your final piece. We will provide a variety of materials including from paper to markers, to stamps to stickers, all to spark your creativity.

What you'll learn:

  • The history and significance of zines

  • Different styles and formats of zines

  • Techniques for designing and assembling your zine

Don't miss this chance to dive into the world of zines and create something truly unique. Reserve your spot today and join us for an afternoon of creativity and community.

Registration closes on Thursday, August 8.
